Script Import Isn't Working

TXT or PDF not importing correctly?

• Make sure character names are in ALL CAPS (e.g. HAMLET, not Hamlet or hamlet)
• For PDFs, check that you can select and copy text from the file — if not, it's a scanned PDF. Use Camera Scan instead.
• PDFs must be under 512 KB

Camera scan not recognising text?

• Hold the phone directly over the page (flat, not at an angle)
• Use bright, even lighting — avoid shadows
• Make sure the text fills most of the frame
• Scanning can take 15–30 seconds — wait for it to complete before moving on

Characters not being detected?

• Check that character names are on their own line OR followed by a colon before their dialogue
• Names must contain only letters and be under 40 characters
• All-caps sentences (like stage directions) may be skipped — this is intentional
